Chicago was Robert Kidney's home in 1969. He walked into the Jazz Record Mart and became involved in a conversation with the owner, Bob Koester.  Mr. Koester, of Delmark Records, produced the legendary recording of "Hoo Doo Man Blues" performed by Buddy Guy and Junior Wells.  Charles Musselwhite was once an employee at the store.  Koester introduced Robert to the clubs of Chicago; the Flamingo Lounge, the L&A Lounge, and the Jet Star Show Lounge.  He saw Luther Allison perform with Magic Sam, and J.B. Hutto with Johnny Young.
